Project Access Nourishment (PAN)

Increasing self-efficacy through food literacy and practical application.

PAN is an 8-week course focused on building food literacy competencies. Food literacy is the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to choose, prepare, and enjoy healthy food to support one’s health.


Upon completion of PAN, participants have developed a foundation of skills in cooking basics, time management, inventiveness, budgeting, goal setting, and mindful eating practices. PAN’s reflective activities support participants in ownership of their self-narrative. Our goal is for participants to build self-efficacy as they nourish themselves and their families in body, mind, and community.
