Bread Head California, a California nonprofit corporation (“Bread Head”), acknowledges that its donors have the following rights:
To be informed of Bread Head’s mission, the way Bread Head intends to use donated funds and other assets, and Bread Head’s capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
To be informed of the identity of those persons serving on Bread Head’s Board of Directors and as its executive officers, and to expect that the Board of Directors and executive officers to exercise prudent judgment in their stewardship responsibilities.
To have access to Bread Head’s most recent financial statements.
To be assured that their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition, based upon the level or amount of donations received.
To be assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality, to the fullest extent provided by Bread Head’s policies and as provided for by law.
To expect that all relationships with individuals representing Bread Head will be professional in nature.
To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers or employees. Bread Head does not presently hire outside paid solicitors.
To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from solicitation mailing lists.
To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
